Real Estate and COVID-19

I hope this message finds you and your family in good health. I am writing to give you a brief update about the local real estate market in light of the recent statewide order to stay at home. 

Business is NOT as usual but Real Estate has been given the governer's approval as an essential business. What does this mean?

1. All aspects of buying and selling real estate involving face to face meetings have been eliminated or significantly reduced. I am working from home.

2. Open Houses are not allowed. On my listings, only private showings are being scheduled (no overlapping appointments).

3. Homes are still available to show with specific seller approval, and ideally by use of a virtual tour. 

4. Real estate contracts and closing documents are all utilizing electronic signatures with meetings only by teleconference or video conference.

As a real estate professional, I recognize the civic obligation to maintain social distance while continuing to be a resource to all of my clients. Again, while

business is not as usual
